What Bin Cleaning Frequency is Best for Me?

Every month, more people are realizing that trash bin cleaning is a necessary luxury. Not only does it make your bins healthy, looking brand new, and smelling like a million bucks, but it also keeps your home (especially your garage) safe and useable.

Not every household has the same needs. The question I get all the time is “How often should I have y’all come and clean my bins?”.

The short answer is: It depends. Some of our customers care more about keeping their bins and garage smelling brand new, some just want to keep their bins manageable, and others want the best bang for their buck with our pricing. Regardless of which category you fall under, in my experience these are the main reasons and situations that customers choose their frequency.

Monthly:

Monthly is our most popular service frequency. Many people choose it since it costs the least per service. Others find it to be more frequent than they need. We find the people that benefit the most by monthly services are people:

  • Who have large families, babies, young kids, or animals — the waste and extra garbage really get their bins smelly quick!

  • Who use their garage regularly — they have home gyms, laundry rooms, workshops, or keep their car inside.

  • Who live in HOAs — many HOAs require bins to be kept in the garage so it becomes more necessary to keep them healthy.

  • Who are prone to getting sick or may have health concerns — keeping a bin free of virus’s, bacteria, mold, insects, and pests can vital!

  • Who prefer to not use trash bags and throw their trash directly in their bins — they get peace of mind knowing that their bins will stay clean regardless.

Quarterly:

Quarterly is our second most popular service. Many people love it because it keeps their bins manageable all year for the “best value”. When people are interested I generally recommend quarterly; they can always change to monthly down the road. We find the people that benefit the most by quarterly services are people:

  • Who live in smaller households or produce less trash than a family of four.

  • Who generally uses trash bags before putting garbage in their bins.

  • Who do not use their garage as frequently.

  • Who keep their bins in a privacy fence or in their backyard.

  • Who want to keep their bins manageable for the best value.

One-Time (or as needed):

One-Time cleanings are less popular than our recurring services. Moreso, more than half of our customers who start with a one-time service decide to switch to quarterly or monthly services because of how much they loved it. The benefits of one-time services are that you get to dictate whenever you want us to come out. The downside is that scheduling may take longer and that the prices are higher than our recurring services. We find that the people that benefit the most by one-time services are people:

  • Who had some sort of accident or event that made their bins unbearable (e.g left fish after a fishing trip in the bins in the summer heat)

  • Who have an infestation — maggots, insects, mold, or other pests.

  • Who have gotten sick — they often need to sanitize and disinfect the entire household.

  • Who have just gotten a new trash bin — bins given by cities or companies can sometimes arrive really gross.

Bi-Monthly or Bi-Annually (By request):

We don’t want to clutter our website or overwhelm new customers with too many options on our homepage, but we are happy to offer Bi-Monthly (every other month) or Bi-Annually (every six months) by request. The pricing is halfway between our advertised services; bi-monthly is halfway between monthly and quarterly, bi-annually is halfway between quarterly and one-time. We find that the people that benefit the most by these services are people:

  • Whose needs are a mixture between monthly and quarterly, or quarterly and one-time.

  • Whose budget fits one of these services better.

Important Notes

Here are couple of our policies that helps to keep in mind:

  1. You can always change your service frequency. If monthly is too often, switch to quarterly (or vice versa).

  2. If you are on a recurring schedule, we can always come out MORE FREQUENTLY at the rate you have. For example, if you are quarterly but want an extra cleaning in between, we are happy to come out again at our quarterly rates.

  3. We can come as often as 2-4 times a month depending on your location and trash day. If you are interested in even more frequent cleanings for any reason, reach out.

  4. If you had a one-time service and want to change, we will credit your account for the difference in our rates!

  5. If you sign up for monthly or quarterly cleanings and decide to cancel before three services, you will be re-billed as if they were one time services.

We are so thankful to all of our wonderful customers and we want to ensure that we have you on the best schedule for your needs!
