Power Washing: Benefits, Costs, and What it is All About

The Bin Spa & Power Washing…

You have probably noticed that our company has recently made a small name change from The Bin Spa to The Bin Spa & Power Washing. So why the change and what does that mean?

For starters, this change reflects our two core competencies: Trash Bin Cleaning Services AND Power Washing Services. For over two years, our community has known us as the experts in trash bin cleaning. Now, we have added a second truck that specializes in all power washing services to even better service our community!

What is Power Washing?

Power Washing is the use of high pressure water spray to remove loose paint, grime, mold, mud, dust, and dirt to clean surfaces and objects. Power Washing is similar to, but generally more effective, than regular pressure washing because it uses hot water—typically around 200 degree Fahrenheit. Power Washing is also uses in conjunction with soft washing—a similar process that uses less PSI, and often a mixture of chemicals, to clean surfaces with less risk of damage from pressure.

We use combinations of all three techniques to get the job done, no matter how big or small. If you are looking for power washing near you, look no further.

What are the Benefits?

There are plenty of benefits of power washing, but you can generally break them down into two categories:

  1. Improve health and longevity of buildings and surfaces

  2. Increase Aesthetic Appeal

First, power washing can make your home, or any other surface or building better maintained and improve on its health. Power Washing and Soft Washing techniques will remove molds and mildew which can eat away at surfaces or make their way inside the building. The use of chemicals will kill these molds and other bacteria before they can ever be an issue.

More obviously, a good power washing service will make your home, building, surface, or any other object shine again! If you have ever watched a satisfying before and after video of pressure washing, you know just how much better a dirty surface will look after a cleaning. Not only will this help your home stand out and sparkle for you and your neighbors, but it will also increase the curb appeal and value of your home (which can be especially valuable to a home or office building looking to go on the market).

Finally, now that you know the benefits of power washing, we should also mention the benefits of having a professional do it for you. Not only does this save you time, but it allows for experts to utilize the proper techniques, chemicals, and equipment. The difference between an okay job and a great job is the use of hot water, the right equipment (including wand tips, surface cleaners, and scrubbing devices), and an expert understanding of what chemicals to use for maximum effectiveness without any damage to your property. We have received plenty of calls to fix a poorly done pressure washing job, which costs the homeowner even more money and often leaves behind damage that cannot be fixed. Remember, buy nice or buy twice!

What Are The Costs?

Costs vary greatly between companies all over the country. Costs, like with any industry, often depend on competition and geography. More generally, you get what you pay for in this industry—an expert will cost more but will have the proper training, chemicals, and equipment, whereas anybody can charge a few bucks to use a diesel pressure washer on your surfaces. We always recommend asking every question you have and understanding what services and processes you are paying for when getting power washing quotes.

Our prices are fairly straight forward and our estimates are always free. We have a $100 minimum to complete a job, but we offer plenty of promotional offers—often with discounted power washing services if you sign up for regular bin cleaning too! Some of our general pricing guidelines include:

  1. $0.12/sqft for residential surface cleaning or $0.07/sqft for commercial surface cleaning

  2. $150-$300 for standard house washings

  3. $50-$75 per vehicle for semitrailer or RV fleet washing

  4. $100-$200 for dumpsters

  5. $10 per window and $5 per screen for window washing

There are so many uses for power washing, and we offer plenty of add-on services such as gutter cleaning, fence cleaning, playground cleaning, graffiti removal, boat washing, and so much more. Give us a call and we can figure out how to service nearly any project you have in mind. No more googling “power washers near me” or “pressure washing Bell County”—now you know to give your friendly experts at The Bin Spa & Power Washing a call first!
