The Change to a “4 Week” Service Schedule

The Challenge of Efficient Operations

Running a successful trash bin cleaning service involves more than just showing up and cleaning bins. It's a complex logistical operation. Internally, we need to manage our trucks, equipment, and labor force, while planning the most geographically optimized routes. Externally, we coordinate with a diverse array of waste management schedules. Here in Central Texas, our service area includes:

  • Three major contracted waste management companies

  • Three cities with their own waste management operations

  • Five private companies offering a mix of subscription and contracted bin cleaning services

Each of these entities has unique trash and recycling pickup schedules. Some households have weekly pickups, others bi-weekly, and some have no recycling service at all. Furthermore, recycling pickup days can be the same or different from trash pickup days, adding to the complexity.

Our New Four-Week Rotating Schedule

To address these logistical challenges, we are introducing a four-week rotating schedule for our services. This change means each neighborhood will now have a designated service day every four weeks, specifically the day following their trash pickup.

For example, if a customer was previously serviced on the first Wednesday of each month, they will now be serviced every fourth Wednesday. This seemingly small adjustment will bring significant improvements.

Why This Change Matters

  1. Alignment with Recycling Schedules: The primary reason for this shift is to better accommodate recycling schedules. Under the new plan, once your service day aligns with your recycling week, it will remain consistent.

  2. Improved Service Efficiency: Customers can expect quicker service as the new schedule allows us to streamline our routes and reduce waiting times.

Proven Success

We piloted this four-week schedule with our Williamson County customers and Bell County customers who had Monday trash pickups. The positive results from these trials have convinced us to extend this system to all our Bell County customers.

What You Need to Know

You don't need to take any action. We will manually update your accounts to reflect the new schedule:

  • Monthly customers will switch to every 4 weeks.

  • Bi-Monthly customers will switch to every 8 weeks.

  • Quarterly customers will switch to every 12 weeks.

  • Bi-annual customers will switch to every 24 weeks.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we implement this change to serve you better. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our customer service team.
